When considering purchasing a new construction project, there are many things you need to consider and plan for. Make sure you have your own representation. You are not getting a better price if you go into a new sales center without your own agent. Commissions are worked into the costs of construction and the new marketing sales team that represents the developer will be increasing their commission from walk-ins BUT they do not represent you. All projects cooperate with outside agents so you will only be gaining from having your own fiduciary single representation.

You should have an experienced broker that knows all the dynamics of pre-construction and how to consult you on this type of purchase.
