South of Market, sprawling from the Embarcadero to Eleventh Street, between Market and Townsend, has become a true Metropolitan World Class Renaissance and is a significant portion of the total area of San Francisco. The area has progressed from a patchwork of warehouses, swanky nightspots, residential hotels, art spaces and lofts into an International High-Tech and Bio-Tech Hub, offering an array of full service, Luxury and 5 Star accommodations, spas, shopping, furniture showrooms, gourmet grocers, entertainment and more. South of Market can be considered the whole area in the Southern portion of the city, but other South of Market neighborhoods include South Beach, Rincon Hill and the Developing Mission Bay area.
